Signboard-game
This exercise can be used in a theme on mammals. The nature interpreter has a number of laminated cards with pictures of the mammals that occur naturally. It might be red deer, fallow deer, squirrel, bank vole, badger, fox, bat and hedgehog. The participants are shown the cards and they make sure that all animals are known, and that a little is known about them, habitat, looks etc. The participants are in twos. One of them has one of the laminated cards put on his back with a pin. The participant with the card has to guess which animal he/she is, by asking the person without a card questions. It has to be questions where the answer is yes or no. The question can be about the animal’s looks, but also about habitat and their tracks. According to the level of participant’s knowledge, the nature interpreter can help them to ask about other things than looks. When the participant has guessed the animal, they swap roles.
