Earth race
The earth race could be used as a starting point for a trip about earth and deterioration and apart from activating the students it also shows their prior knowledge and gives the nature interpreter an idea of it. At the same time we bow to the principle only to talk about things that can actually be looked at. The nature interpreter is on a base and sends the groups into the forest for various things from nature, one at a time. When they have found what they were supposed to, they are asked questions about the things. They score points for a correct answer and are sent out for something else.
